Brussel Sprouts with Pancetta and Chestnuts

Brussel sprouts get a bad name but these ones with pancetta and chestnuts will change that. I've always loved brussel sprouts but the fact I get them like this might be the reason. The pancetta gives a delicious deep, slightly salty flavour with the chestnuts adding a sweet, nutty and soft buttery taste. All done in the pan and is a combination you need to try!

Cut your brussel sprouts off the stalk and peel the outer layer of leaves off. Wash these in some cold water and add to a saucepan. Add boiling water and blanche them (boil for about 5 minutes) to soften. Drain them from the water and set aside.

Hi Eileen, apologies I was offline for a while there. It's the store bought packs you can get, they're basically cooked already and you just add them in 🙌🏻

So sorry Eileen that's my fault. They could be a treat to accompany a Sunday roast potentially? We get ours in Tesco, Merchant Gourmet is the brand 🙌🏻
