Pear Apple and Sultana Pie

This not so wee pie is a delicious twist on the traditional Apple Pie. The sweetness of the ripe pears and sultanas really add to it. You'll be surprised how the addition of breadcrumbs thicken the filling and add even more substance. The pastry is perfectly crisp with that rich buttery taste we all love. The only problem you'll stumble on, is what are you serving it with? Warm with ice cream, slathered in thick warm custard or a heap of freshly whipped cream? You know me by now and I'd be having all three!

Step 1

For your pastry add your flour and butter to a large bowl, coating the butter in the flour. Add this to your food processor and blitz this to combine. Our food processor isn't the biggest so we did this in two separate batches.
