Creamy Bushmills Chicken

One of my best mates John gave me this recipe and it was his Nanny’s. It’s really special getting to share recipes like this. It shows how food brings so much joy and connection to life. It’s so creamy, and the garlic and slight whiskey flavour is absolutely delicious. This is a real comfort dinner and one I think you'll love! It was a huge hit in our house and my Granda’s reaction proves it.

What would be the best substitute for mushrooms as I think they are good from the devil and need to be erased from the earth lol

You really must hate them Ciara with that description 😂 You could just leave them out totally or add in another veg you like? I always like a bit of tenderstem broccoli. Some cannellini beans might be a nice addition in there, will compliment the creaminess 🙌🏻

Served this a part of a family buffet dinner. Felt special as we were adding the Bushmills and flaming it but was a very simple dish to make. Would definitely make again.
