Easy Pizza Dough

I got a wee pizza oven as a birthday gift and it's potentially one of the best presents ever. It allowed me to discover the art of pizza dough and best of all feed people which I love doing. My claim to fame is Mum won't get pizza anywhere else now because she says mine is better. It's not a 2 or 3 day job, if you fancied a fresh homemade pizza for dinner you just need to start at lunchtime. It's suitable for freezing and using in the oven, it just takes a bit longer to cook is all. It's perfect to get everyone together and a brilliant weekend activity if you ask me.

Prep

2h 40m

Ingredients

Method

Turn cooking mode on

Step 1

In a large bowl add your lukewarm water and yeast, mixing well until dissolved. Add your flour and salt to a large mixing bowl and combine. Once your yeast has dissolved pour this into the dry ingredients. In a stand mixer using a dough hook knead this for between 5-10 minutes, or you can mix it with a fork and then knead by hand (a guide to kneading is in the notes section). Knead until the dough comes together from the sides and it's firm and stretchy. If you press into the dough with a finger it should spring back or when stretched it won't tear.
