Maple and Mustard Glazed Ham

At Christmas the turkey might be the centrepiece Christmas dinner, but the ham steals the show if you’re asking me. I'd make this year round but it definitely hits different on the big day. It's salty and sweet, packed with flavour, plus the sticky glaze just brings it up a notch. The only problem being you'll have to make double so you can load sandwiches up after, it's that good.

Step 1

Steep your ham in a pot of cold water overnight, this will remove the excess salt. Leave it in a cold spot with the lid on. The next day drain the water off your ham and add your onion, carrots and peppercorns.
