Pecan Pie

This is the only pecan pie recipe you'll need. My Granda Alfie's verdict will definitely have you wanting a taste as he said 'you could serve it anywhere'. It has that beautiful buttery, flaky shortcrust pastry, with a caramel custard filled with nutty pecans. It’s hard to beat with a big dollop of fresh cream or cool vanilla ice cream!

Step 1

Fire your pecans into a baking tray and toast them in a fan assisted oven on 160 degrees for about 5-10 minutes, until they start to colour. Remove them from the oven and when they're cool enough to handle, set aside 30 of them for decoration and roughly chop the rest.
