Chocolate Protein Balls

I created this recipe when I lived in Galway during my rugby days to satisfy that sweet tooth guilt free. I've always loved a wee treat and these are to accompany a cuppa anytime. My teammates loved these and I was tasked regularly to bring a batch in for the coffee room. They're perfect to rustle up for the week ahead to snack on when you need that wee boost.

Method

Turn cooking mode on

Step 1

Grab a mug that you'll use for the recipe or if you have the wee cup measures work away with that. I find using a mug a lot handier and less cleaning up. Add a 3/4 cup of peanut butter, 1/4 of honey, your vanilla extract and a good pinch of salt to a large bowl. Give this a good mix until smooth and combined. Then launch in your cup of protein powder which is roughly 6 scoops. I went 1/2 chocolate and 1/2 vanilla. Get this mixed together until fully combined and using your hands at the end will help. It will come together into a rollable, shapeable dough. If it's too dry add a little milk or water.
