Homemade Butter

I went milking a while back and there was no doubt I was going to make homemade butter. I scooped the cream off the top of the tank but there's no need for you to do that. It's a great way to use up any leftover cream or cream that the use by date is short on. It’s extremely handy to make and also gives you buttermilk, so win-win. We all know real butter is the best, this plastered over some fresh bread and you've got yourself a winner!

Turn cooking mode on

Step 1

Pour your cream into a mixer and whisk until it separates into a solid and a liquid. Keep an eye on it because it will happen quickly at the end and splash everywhere. Hoke your butter out of the whisk into the liquid.
