Nanny's Christmas Pudding

This is my Nanny’s Christmas pudding recipe and hands down my favourite dessert. This a real traditional dessert and very special to me. Honestly it's in the back of my mind all year until the big day arrives. I feel like Christmas pudding can get a bad wrap, but this is so light and moreish. It's packed full of juicy fruit and flavour. Once you start making these at home you won't be back at the shop for them, I can tell you that.

Step 1

For the overnight soak add your sultanas, raisins, currants, grated Bramley apple, orange zest, lemon zest, and salt to a large bowl. Pour over the Guinness and brandy, mixing together and allow to soak overnight.

Hi Jeanette! Just simmer on a low heat for half an hour or so, just until it’s warmed through 🙌🏼 You can also pop it in the microwave for handiness 👍🏼
