Quiche Lorraine

Initially I was meant to make a cornflake tart but bought savoury pastry by mistake. But that mistake lead to this delicious recipe so who's complaining? It's full of creamy luxurious flavour from the cheese, eggs and cream. Accompanied by the fresh tomato and salty, savoury bacon, what's not to like? It's a perfect one for the lunch and firmly on our menu now!

Step 1

You can make your own pastry but some store bought pastry is perfect for this wee recipe. Pop it into your loose bottomed tart tin and feed it gently into the edges. Trim off any excess pastry with a knife but leave a slight over hang as it will shrink once baked. Pop this into the fridge for about 20 minutes to chill.
