It looks great Susan 🙌🏻 Sometimes it can come down to our ovens as they differ so much, so maybe a slightly longer bake. A good tip is to tap the bottom and if it sounds hollow it's in a good spot 👍🏻 You'll get it nailed after a few attempts I'd say! It's wild the difference in my Nanny's oven to the one here at home 😅

Hi Maggie, you can use normal milk and add some lemon juice to it to give you the buttermilk 🙌🏻

I make a loaf of this wheaten bread alongside every batch of soup for an easy and comforting meal. Also goes great with butter and jam in the morning. Thanks for the straightforward recipe for this staple!

A wee wheaten loaf is always perfect to have on hand 🙌🏻 So good toasted with heaps of real butter and homemade jam 🤤
